Metal Health Workshops

In a partnership between Evolution Art Studio and 555 Arts  the Metal Health Workshop Program explores art making and the creative process in an attempt to promote positive mental health and healing from various types of trauma.

Creating a cast iron sculpture is a transformative experience that blends creativity and self-healing, allowing participants to cope, express feelings, and work towards emotional well-being.

Supported by a licensed professional counselor and registered art therapist, along with a host of resident artists guide the workshop to provide an arts-based healing opportunity.

Participants are able to develop the tools necessary to learn how to manage stress, and use the foundry art-making process in a creative, and life-affirming way.

Cost varies please contact for details.

Take Home Art Projects Program

555 Arts Take Home Art Projects Program aims to continue to provide access to the arts as a form of therapy during this time of self isolation, quarantining, and social distancing by offering our new Take Home Art Project Program.

The art tile scratch block project is a project designed to give participants an opportunity to have a hands on experience at home, using household items as tools. 555 Arts offers pre-made scratch block sand molds of various sizes from 3 inch round medallions to 7 inch x 7 inch square tiles. These pre-made molds can be taken home to be worked on, an online reference and tutorial will be available to provide some guidance and inspiration for carving into the sand molds, the molds will be returned to 555 Arts where our artists in residence will prepare and cast the art tile in aluminum.

The pour is a live stream video on our facebook and allows participants to see their molds being filled with molten metal. The finished castings are cleaned and made available for pickup or delivered to a location for curbside pickup.

Costs vary, please contact for details.
