Screening of Afro-Punk, a 66-minute documentary, explores race identity within the punk scene.

"It tackles the hard questions, such as issues of loneliness, exile, inter-racial dating, and black power. We follow the lives of four people who have dedicated themselves to the punk-rock lifestyle. They find themselves in situations that could only happen to some one who had to experience the duality of a person of color in a mostly white community”

We Are the Future
WCC Gallery Group- student exhibition

“The Washtenaw Gallery Group is a newly formed student organization at Washtenaw Community College. Our mission is to assist student artists in developing portfolio skills and exhibiting their work, aswell as extending their resources and encouraging interdisciplinary communication between students. Our Ultimate goal is to procure space on campus suitable to showcase student work in a gallery setting. The students themselves would have the responsibility of maintaining and organizing the Gallery along with solely deciding what is to be displayed. This show is the first of its kind for WCC. Never before has there been a student art exhibition off campus and with the momentum we are accelerating at there will be many more in the future.”
