Mission Statement
The core mission of 555 Gallery/Studio is to further enrich and diversify cultural life in the greater Metro-Detroit area. In support of this mission 555 facilitates the development of emerging artists. 555 offers exhibition/installation space, leads and collaborates in the development of programs for the visual and performing arts, and provides workspace for practicing artists.

555 Gallery / Studio is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization
It takes many hands to sustain our galleries and studios, and to bring exciting and thoughtful arts exhibitions to our community. 555 is solely sustained by donations of volunteer time and financial gifts. Donations
The galleries need consistent attention to properly present exhibitions. Volunteers are needed throughout the week, during weekly gallery hours, and immediately before, during, and after exhibition receptions. Contact 555 Gallery.

Whether it's getting the word out about our exhibits, opportunities for artists, or our studios for rent; promotions are an important part of 555's interaction with the community. If you are interested in distributing postcards and flyers at restaurants, schools, libraries, other galleries, art venues, cafe's, clubs, bars, and other public places, please contact Promotions.

As we develop and organize the space, there is extensive manual labor to be done at 555. If you have carpentry experience, painting experience, or would like to be part of our clean up crew, email us about volunteering for Brute Force.

No staff person gets paid to operate or maintain 555 Studio / Gallery. Your financial donation will enable us to keep producing events for Detroit.
